Staying Positive

A negative from a photograph is the opposite of the real picture. What should be dark appears light and vice versa. The same goes with our thoughts when they become negative. Where there should to be light in our thinking there is darkness, and what should be viewed as darkness appears as light. Dwelling on negative thoughts unbalances our perception of the people and the situations around us. Focusing on the pain takes us places we would normally not go. We start to see the world with eyes that deceive us and gravitate towards things that pulls us away from the light of Christ. What we once believed to be true starts to become false.

So how do we know if our thinking is real or deceptive? When we choose to dwell on things that are good, honorable, trustworthy and worthwhile, and SEE with the mind of Christ, we are on safe ground. For when we accept God’s gift of Jesus Christ, Scripture tells us that we are a new creation, that we have the mind of Christ, and that we have the authority to take our thoughts captive and submit them to the Lord, so our thoughts won’t spiral us downward.

May the wonder working miracles of God's amazing love strengthen and bless you and bring you to a place of healing.
