A number of years ago, I lost some movement in my left arm. The doctor x-rayed the shoulder, told me there were calcium deposits on the bones, and said I would never have full movement of my arm again.
I asked for prayer from my Christian friends, and went to a mid-week healing service at a local church. In previous services, I had seen other people headed and had also received a healing myself. But this time, nothing happened. After two months with no improvement, it appeared that I had to learn to live with the difficulty of pulling sweaters over my head using only one arm.
Six months later, I continued to go to the same Christian healing service. And one evening, the Lord prompted the leader to do something different. He told us to find a partner to pray with and led us in a series of amazing prayers.
First, he told us to pray that we would commit ourselves to Jesus, confess our waywardness, and forgive others. Then he told us to repent of things we’ve done or gotten into that were in opposition to God, including things like having our palms read. Then we prayed for healing of our spirit and soul, and wounds that were caused by negative attitudes or unwholesome talk. It was very moving and wonderful evening.
Near the end of the service, the leader said the Lord wanted to do physical healing, and that we should pray for that. Again, nothing happened. But the next morning, when I went to lift my arm in the shower, it went straight up! Jesus Christ healed my shoulder completely! It became fully functional, and continues to remain healed today.

A group of us ladies, who knew we needed training, participated in a seminar called “Breaking Bondages to Set Captives Free.” Lois Koss, from Tree of Life Ministries, led the gathering. She spoke into the deep places in our hearts that needed to be ministered to. She gave us wisdom and understanding through Scriptural truths. She shared testimonies of Christ’s faithfulness and the joy of seeing Jesus set people free! Her enthusiasm, assurance and teachings about what God calls us to do, the authority HE commands us to walk in, and the resource she gave us to use, not only strengthened our faith, but also lifted our countenance. Hope arose within us. Doubts and lies were replaced with truth. Bondages were broken. One lady who suffered with severe back pain through most of the seminar was prayed for and went home feeling much better. We were given a new boldness in learning to step out in faith, and a reminder to rely on the Lord when ministering to others.
One of the participants said it was the most Holy Spirit infused, teaching, healing and equipping seminar. I agree, and thank Jesus Christ for the miracles that resulted from a simple act of asking for help in our moments of weakness. And I especially thank HIM for sending Lois Koss to open the door to new levels of the love and freedom we have in and through Jesus Christ.
For when we find ourselves in unexpected situations where there is deception and
evil influences, wisdom calls
us to recognize our own weaknesses and gain understanding in the ways of
the Lord. And when we do this, HIS perfect love casts out all fear.

Two weeks ago, a group of us decided to take the drive out to Cyrus Ministries in Big Rock, Illinois. Every Tuesday evening, they have a gathering for Scripture based teaching, prayer and healing. It had been a while since we were there. All of us, including the new person coming with us, were eager to step into more of Yahweh's peace, draw closer to Christ, and be blessed.
We walked in, said "Hi" to everyone, and sat down. Immediately, Rich Fick, the Director of Cyrus Ministries, turned to one of the ladies and said, "Jesus wants to heal your back!" Then he asked her, “Do you have back pain?” She said, “Yes!” He asked her to stand up and behold (look at) Jesus Christ, the One who heals. She did. And as Rich prayed for her, the back pain disappeared.
None of us who drove out in the car with her, knew that our friend had a back problem. She never told us that she suffered with back pain for the past six years. But Jesus Christ knew, and HE set her free from pain!

A negative from a photograph is the opposite of the real picture. What should be dark appears light and vice versa. The same goes with our thoughts when they become negative. Where there should to be light in our thinking there is darkness, and what should be viewed as darkness appears as light. Dwelling on negative thoughts unbalances our perception of the people and the situations around us. Focusing on the pain takes us places we would normally not go. We start to see the world with eyes that deceive us and gravitate towards things that pulls us away from the light of Christ. What we once believed to be true starts to become false.
So how do we know if our thinking is real or deceptive? When we choose to dwell on things that are good, honorable, trustworthy and worthwhile, and SEE with the mind of Christ, we are on safe ground. For when we accept God’s gift of Jesus Christ, Scripture tells us that we are a new creation, that we have the mind of Christ, and that we have the authority to take our thoughts captive and submit them to the Lord, so our thoughts won’t spiral us downward.

In this busy, hectic world that we live in, peace is often hard to find. We have long "to-do" lists, places to go, people to contact, meetings to attend, bills to pay, family/friends to get together with, issues to deal with, and of course, ways to make a living. Yet peace is what our heart longs for. What we may not be aware of is peace is offered to us daily, hourly, and even minute by minute. Peace is something we can learn to bask in the midst of problems when chaos and turmoil surround us. How? By asking Jesus Christ to fill us with His peace that surpasses all understanding and teaching us His ways.

Worry and stress can bind us to our situations. They are like poison darts that drain our energy and spiral our thinking downward. So how do we get rid of anxiousness and troubling thoughts? How do we say "no" to the worry bugs that bite us and keep us awake at night? We can give them to someone who gives us beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, and the garment of praise instead of heaviness. We can give our worries to Jesus Christ, who eagerly waits to carry our worries and burdens for us and shield us from venomous arrows.
If you want to drop your worries and feel what its like to be free again, please come to learn more and receive prayer at the Healing Conference

It hurts when people reject us. It hurts even more when people tell us they wish we didn't exist. Our mind tends to replay the incident again and again. The wound in our heart festers and grows, causing more pain and more distress. But hurts can be healed. There is someone who is eager to take away our pain and make us whole again. He is Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, and He wants to save us from continuing grief. For we do not have to carry the pain of today into tomorrow. We can go to the great Healer, who sets people free.

Life becomes puzzling or overwhelming when the pieces don't fit together properly. Or when the demands of others become unreasonable. Or when we take on too much. Too often, we allow stress to rear its ugly head and overtake us before we realize what's happening. But it's never too late for peace to flow through our mind and bodies like a gentle stream flowing through a quiet meadow.
When stress builds up in my life, I've found one place to go where I'm always welcomed, always accepted, and always listened to — a place where someone cares so much, he asks to carry my burdens for me. A place where I exchange the tension and anxiousness for peace. This place is in Jesus Christ who says, "Come to ME, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest."
Being relieved from stress brings healing, and the miracle that follows is freedom and peace of mind. I love the Stress Reliever and the joy that follows. I love seeing Jesus free others from stress, too. That's why I can hardly wait for the upcoming Healing Conference on September 28 -30. I want to see people healed. The sound of ocean waves resonates outside my window. Loud, soft. Loud, soft. Yet I do not live near any body of water. The sound is produced by the wind blowing through the trees, rustling their leaves. How amazing that a bunch of leaves, which can never sing on their own, can imitate the song of the ocean when moved by the invisible wind. How relaxing is this song that soothes my soul and lifts my spirit when I take time to listen.
The same goes for us. On our own, we are limited in what we can produce. But when we gather with other followers of Jesus Christ and allow the wind of His Holy Spirit to move through us, wonderful sounds are released. Heavenly songs of beauty, health, wholeness and healing come forth. Our spirits are lifted, peace fills the air, and joy abounds.
That's why I love gathering with people who come together to listen for and sing the songs of Heaven. That's why I can hardly wait for the Healing Conference that will happen September 28 -30 at Faith Lutheran Church in Geneva, IL. (www.flcgeneva.net) I love to see the Hand of the Lord move through people that He gathers, and watch healing, joy and restoration come forth.
May the wonder working miracles of
God's amazing power bring a breakthrough for you where you need God's song of Heaven to fill your life.
